In the end Goten realizes that seawater hardens the acid to make it rock, so he has the idea to make a wave to splash the mass of acid. By this time Broly has made the acid stronger and bigger with his energy and vice verse, therefore Broly is a giant acid monster in the sea. Covered in acid Broly hardens into rock. Goten and Trunks go super sayian and with Krillin use a Kamehameha wave to destroy the giant statue of Broly.
