After the conclusion of the War, Aang and Zuko brought people from the four nations together and founded the United Republic, creating Republic City, a large “metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology” such as cars and motorcycles. Aang and Katara had three children, the youngest of which is Tenzin, who has been confirmed to be an airbender. Meanwhile, Toph Beifong traveled extensively to teach metalbending. After Aang’s death, the next Avatar, Korra, was born in the Southern Water Tribe….

Meanwhile, Korra’s friends prepare an assault on the Equalists’ mountain airbase to prevent the sinking of a relief fleet under Commander Bumi, Tenzin’s brother.
Bolin, Asami and Iroh try to breach the airfield, but are captured by Hiroshi Sato’s Equalists. They break out thanks to Korra’s polar bar dog Naga, and as Asami and Bolin take down Hiroshi and his mecha-tanks, Iroh pursues and destroys the Equalist bombers that took off to attack the United Forces fleet. Meanwhile, Korra and Mako confront Amon at a rally in the former pro-bending arena, intending to expose him as a bender. They manage to free Tenzin and his family, who Amon had intended to de-bend on stage, but in the bowels of the arena Amon overpowers Mako and Korra, and removes her bending… More… »

Korra deduces, and Tarrlok confirms, that he is Yakone’s son, repeating his father’s attempt to rule Republic City. As the Equalists arrive at the cabin, Tarrlok’s bloodbending proves ineffective against Amon, who removes Tarrlok’s bending. The weakened Korra escapes into the woods and, rescued by Naga, returns to the city.
